Confident and visibly upbeat, it was a contrast to the forced and constrained appearances where she was uptight and lacked the normal glow and exuberance that is innate on the Alaskan-frontiers-toned-face. Her discomfiture all gushed out unhappily in her responses to the interview bewildering critics and followers alike. Aware that she was like a prisoner being purged in an interrogation by the left wing-beholden media, gave her the creeps, displayed in a taut, discolored, fatigued face and rattled answers.
Compare this to her interview with Shawn Hannity, a co-conservative. She appeared very relaxed and very much herself, congenial and effervescent. Though, her remarks lacked the depth characteristic of a seasoned Washington honed politician, she is an outsider and a maverick with ample local experience as governor of Alaska.
For all that she is criticized for being unprepared to become a president in a heartbeat, such as lacking knowledge in foreign policy and a fundamental knowledge frame, Sarah Palin for what she is a paragon of a woman. She possesses natural pulchritude, energy and vivacity of a cheer leader even at 44; her "I´ll bring em´ to ya!" colloquial, folksiness, and hillbillyish comeliness are her signature as a person and a politician.
If the women feminist faction is in a state of limbo about Sarah Palin´s validity to be that coalition leader despite of fundamental differences in values, it is an unfortunate situation for the feminist causes. A time when a woman has made a historic rise to a high position with a conservative party, and potentially into a very influential executive office in the government, women´s solidarity seems amiss.
Setting aside all these, Sarah Palin has a hidden power, as a person and a politician. She is very basic and authentic personality. She excels and would continue to render herself a gem for the Republican Party congealing a fractious organization and energizing them beyond expectation.
Her beauty -- by itself is a formidable power -- much like the classic attributes of the women of yore; the likes of Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Delilah, to name a few -- made famous by their seductive powers that had a destructive side demolishing empires and kingdoms. Even in our recent memory, we´ve seen the femme fatale attacks destroying the social and political images of Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinski and Ms. Riele in the case of John Edwards.
In this our modern times, Sarah Palin is naturally an endowed woman, thankfully, sophisticated with benign and genuine care for the mainstream as a politician. She is squeaky clean in her moral values to be involved in such charade. Where I see her would-be-strength in the political arena and as a vice president is a personality that could simply be winning the hearts, hence, cooperation of world leaders come to the table on world issues. In a male-dominated heads of states, her good looks, wits, and vivacious personality easily charm men. This classically displayed during her meeting at the U.N. with the newly elected President of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto´s widower, Asif Zardari, a Musli -- who described her as "gorgeous." His close aide, Sherry Rehman, a woman, also complimented Sarah Palin for her attractiveness.
Such constructive beauty and appeal in Sarah Palin would make a strong enough weapon to be used to help disarm America´s enemies, not in the battlefield, but in a meeting of minds diplomatically; bloodless, inexpensive, efficient human endeavor to stop the vicious and senseless violence being wielded against America by the Muslim infidels.
When life essentially hinges on human behavior and the consequential problems it creates to the society, resolutions are much harder than problems to come by. This is a critical time for America. It is a country besieged from almost all fronts, internationally and nationally. Keeping its stability is a prohibitive task, where trillions of dollars appropriations are being spent on building formidable fence across the border, keeping its internal security buttressed against terrorism, confronting its Muslim enemies whether in the battlefield as in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or in ideological confrontations with Iran, Russia and North Korea.
Diplomats constantly shuttle across the globe with a mission to try to rationalize if not eliminate tyrants. In reality, no amount of military power can subdue any determined nation hell-bent on destroying America to its core, when the suicide bombers, voluntary or not, make themselves easily available to become warriors to a faith that is made purely and personally fundamental by its mainly illiterate disciples.
Ironically, the more efforts are put in to put out the fire of contentions itself becomes the fuel that keeps the fire ablaze worldwide against America. War is but a senseless parrying of male egos. It perpetuates as long as men-dominated leaders are in reign.
